Google Shopping Link
Another quick note in recent developments is Google’s link change on their home page.
Since taking ‘Froogle’ off the homepage and replacing the link with Video last year, Google Product Search has seen a slow decline in overall traffic. Still one of the top engines, it seems Google is making some small adjustments to change this trend.
The most recent adjustment is changing the link on the Google home page to ‘Shopping’. This link now takes the consumer directly to the Google Product Search home page. It’s debatable how much this tweak will matter at this point. However it’s worth noting as Google continues to fine tune their strategy on their shopping comparison engine/marketplace.
