42% of US Online Consumers use Comparison Shopping Engines

According to a recent DoubleClick study, 42% of US Online Shoppers now say they use Comparison Shopping Engines to find products. This represents a continued surge in using engines designed specifically around a comparison model so product and seller information can be easily previewed.

Among other nuggets of information, 48% considered themselves loyal to particular brands or offerings. On the other hand, if you offer poor service you can quickly kiss 41% of your customers ‘good-bye’.
