Do it right!

This is the phrase which rings through my head every time I think about the focus of this site.

Originally, I wanted to “Keep it Simple”. However, times have changed and the growth that originally propelled the online industry has slowed substantially as the world adjusts to a new economy in 2009.

Since I began working in E-Commerce in 2002, a lot has changed and that will continue. So much is constantly in motion, sometimes you need a guide to help point in the right direction. That’s become the focus of ChannelDollars.

Shopping comparison engines present a lot of challenges since you are essentially conducting a separate SEM campaign for each individual channel you are on. The premise of this site was to analyze and explain how to efficiently manage CSEs. As the industry evolves, new patterns and opportunities emerge. Amazon continues to grow, CSE growth in turn has slowed, and new tools like Facebook and Twitter emerge. This all leads to an inevitable breakdown in trying to learn a new technology and then continue to master it, as the technology itself evolves.

That’s why this site is here. To share knowledge on how to integrate and maximize online marketing campaigns and tactics. There is so much to learn, and so little time to do it, we all need as many guide posts as possible. My hope is that ChannelDollars serves as one of those posts.

Also, I have to point out that all comments and writings are strictly my own thoughts. The views expressed are not those of the company I am employed by, nor any affiliated company unless expressly stated. Most important of all, please know I maintain the highest standards in providing ethical, objective and practical information. If I error in some way or you simply disagree, please feel free to contact me or post a comment. After all, the ability to interact is the what the internet has promised all along.
