Look ahead…Do it right…Keep it simple
These are the 3 phrases I’ve used to classify Channel Dollars over the years. Originally, I wanted to ‘keep it simple’ in explaining the emerging CSE industry. Next, I wanted to ‘do it right’, making sure to look at key components of the industry and steering a merchant’s campaign in the proper direction. Now, I want to ‘look ahead’. There’s been enough change on shopping engines, I see marketing a merchant’s catalog evolving into many more areas beyond the standard CSE and marketplace models. Also, I see other patterns in the industry as my perspective grows, perhaps in farther reaching areas. I want to make sure that ultimately the perspective here remains grounded from an online marketer’s view, inclusive in looking at the companies developing (or in some cases shrinking) in a changing marketplace, and finally providing some perspective on where all of this headed. Using that focus, it’s my hope we can build a better future than letting processes and people to fend for themselves.
Disclaimer #1: I have to point out that all comments and writings are strictly my own thoughts. The views expressed are not those of the company I am employed by, nor any affiliated company unless expressly stated and quoted. Most important of all, please know I maintain the best standards in providing ethical, objective and practical information. If I error in some way or you simply disagree, please feel free to post a comment and share your view. After all, the ability to interact is the what the internet has promised all along.
Disclaimer #2: I’m not a hard-core affiliate marketer, or even soft-core for that matter. However, I do run advertisements on the blog. While I don’t see enough to even pay hosting fees as of 2011, I do like to at least see something come through. Perhaps one day I’ll either chose to focus more on monetary incentives, or maybe I just get smart enough to create more income. However, until then, the content is driven based on my opinion, and with that, there may be some links around those thoughts which generate income for myself and the companies which use those links.
